The 24 VAC solenoid turns the valve off and on based on commands from a controller, but also subject to a manual override that can be used to turn flow off and on at the valve. The 3/4" to 2" range can be used with a wide range of irrigation zones ranging from less than 5 GPM to over 150 GPM.
