Netafim Nursery and Greenhouse Line Taken On by GrowIrrigation

Oceanside, CA: Grow Irrigation Inc., a new online irrigation retailer, will begin offering selected items from Netafim’s Nursery and Greenhouse product lines on its website www.GrowIrrigation.com this month. The Netafim Nursery and Greenhouse line includes Woodpecker PC Jr pressure compensating drippers, SpinNet greenhouse sprinklers and a multitude of accessories and assemblies. Until now Grow Irrigation has supplied a comprehensive line of irrigation products for outdoor nursery applications. With this move it is expanding its focus to also include greenhouse growers.

Grow Irrigation was founded earlier this year by 35-year irrigation industry veteran Jerry McDonald, and addresses a need felt by growers nationally for accessibility to relevant products and expertise at competitive prices. He says “Since our inception, we have had our sites on both the nursery and greenhouse markets. Many growers work in both applications, and there is a large overlap in products they use.” He adds “Netafim offers the most comprehensive and well-known product line in the greenhouse irrigation business, and will be a significant addition to our offering.”

McDonald believes that the irrigation industry, especially in the nursery and greenhouse segment, has been slow to adopt online commerce in comparison with other industries. Grow Irrigation hopes to change this with its business-to-business approach and sharp focus on nursery and greenhouse growers. Like most online stores, Grow Irrigation accepts credit card orders, but with credit approval they can also sell on net 30 commercial terms.  Grow Irrigation also has deep technical expertise and industry relationships that allow it to take on complex projects.

McDonald says “We’re just getting started and our product offering is growing quickly. If you don’t find what you need on our website today, chances are we’ll have it later this year”. He finishes by adding “we plan to change the way growers buy irrigation products, one emitter at a time”.
