Grow Irrigation adds Netafim Automatic Disc Filters to its line
Grow Irrigation has added to its already expansive filter line-up by including Netafim Disc-Kleen Automatic Disc Filter Stations. The addition includes both the Netafim Disc-Kleen LP and Apollo lines, providing automatic filtration in irrigation systems ranging from 40 to 3,200 gallons per minute.
Disc filter systems are an alternative to sand media filter stations for large scale irrigation systems using water that may contain organic contaminants. They are commonly used in systems using surface water, or organic fertilizer injection. The main advantages of disc filter systems is their relatively small footprint for a given capacity, and their corrosion-free plastic construction.
Netafim Disc-Kleen LP and Apollo automatic filter stations have the capabilities that make them a a great choice for greenhouses and indoor medicinal crop grows. Three-dimensional disc filtration protects emitters from organic fertilizers that are common in these applications. Their small footprint is valuable where square footage is a premium and all-plastic construction makes them completely corrosion resistant, even in the presence of chemicals. Automatic disc filters are also effective for conventional farming with surface water which contain organic contaminants. The Disc-Kleen LP can be used for up to 750 gpm and the Disc-Kleen Apollo works on flow rates up to 3,200 gpm.
All Netafim automatic disc filter systems sold by Grow Irrigation come assembled and ready to operate, including filters, manifolds, backflush controller, backflush valves and AC solenoids. They can be used to protect any sprinkler or drip/micro system from organic contaminants, including drip tape, greenhouse drip, or Spot-Spitter systems.
